‘Where will your digital transformation journey take you?’ [email protected]

A Review by Halvard Green, Solutions Manager

The TARGET team attended the 80th EAGE Tradeshow & Conference in Copenhagen last week to talk about our unique approach to enabling business growth in the downturn through partnerships using digital transformation (DX) technology, and to promote some of the work we have done with our partners. As usual, Europe’s largest industry event provided the perfect environment for sharing knowledge and insights across a multi-disciplinary geoscience spectrum.

It was great to reconnect with old and new faces, and to showcase our latest technology for the upstream petrotechnical community on the TARGET stand. Demonstrations of the MEERA Platform were given daily to both regulators and operators alike, with great responses and feedback on our solutions.

It definitely appears to be the case that the industry is taking the importance of effective cloud-based data management more seriously. We were particularly delighted to see that many of the people we spoke to had operational obstacles that could be easily overcome using online solutions that are designed to dismantle the boundaries between multiple siloed databases, and provide an easily accessible golden record of data instead.

Our team was also present at the Digital Transformation Zone, where we gave daily talks to a receptive audience. Our presentation on “Good Data. Good Deals. Anytime. Anywhere” sparked particular interest, highlighting how our solutions can help promote and disseminate data from farm-in opportunities or licensing rounds.

All in all, a great show – see you in London next year!

Quantico Energy Solutions and TARGET Announce Technology Alliance

HOUSTON, TX, and MUSCAT, Oman February 6, 2018

Quantico Energy Solutions (Quantico), a leader in artificial intelligence (AI) solutions for the Upstream segment of the oil and gas industry, and TARGET, an oilfield services company specializing in digital transformation technology and enablement, today announced a strategic alliance to leverage their respective technology offerings in data management, geoscience consulting and artificial intelligence solutions for the global oil and gas industry.

The alliance between Quantico and TARGET will allow Quantico’s customers to streamline the resources involved in large data-driven deployments, and TARGET’s customers will be able to extract more value from their subsurface data via Quantico’s artificial intelligence capabilities.

For Asset Managers who want to reduce LWD costs, improve drilling efficiencies and downscale seismic interpretations, the ability to access Quantico’s suite of subsurface solutions through TARGET’s cloud-based MEERA platform offers a range of benefits: from significant reductions in project set-up times and execution times, simplified workflows with enhanced quality controls for data preparation, to better AI integration with other subsurface projects and faster results.

“Quantico continues to seek best in class solutions and partnerships that fit the needs of our customers worldwide,” said Barry Zhang, CEO of Quantico. “TARGET’s data management and geoscience consulting expertise will help us deliver an integrated artificial intelligence solution and also provide the in-country presence that major oil companies expect from their leading service providers.”

“Realizing the benefits of true digital transformation is a key goal of many of our customers this year,” said Matthias Hartung, President of Digital Transformation at TARGET. “Quantico’s AI tools are an important addition to our technology partnership program, bringing further innovative capabilities to our customers through the range of tools we offer within our platform.”

Quantico offers a suite of artificial intelligence-based solutions for geophysics, reservoir engineering, formation evaluation, drilling and completions. With commercial work on over 150 wells in US Land, the company recently has been growing its international business with projects in the Gulf of Mexico, the North Sea, Australia and the Middle East. The growth opportunities demonstrate the value that artificial intelligence can deliver to the subsurface segment of the oil and gas industry.

TARGET provides scalable cloud technologies to oil and gas customers through its MEERA platform, which allows large scale datasets to be managed, curated and analyzed online.

TARGET sponsor the ‘Future Working Zone’ – PETEX 2016

PETEX is the largest subsurface-focused E&P conference and exhibition in the UK, attracting thousands of delegates from across the region and from a range of industry sectors.

This year, TARGET is sponsoring the ‘Future Working Zone’ – a new area dedicated to providing visitors with a range of talks outlining a vision of how people in our industry will interact with data and information in their daily working lives going forward.

At TARGET, we believe that we are on the cusp of a new era – our world is transforming. Low oil prices have forced our industry to reevaluate CAPEX spend on expensive large-scale IT infrastructure, and increasingly companies and organisations are looking to cloud services to deliver technology and data services to their users.

Recently, you may have been hearing more about ‘Digital Transformation’. This describes a business strategy which involves moving information, processes and operations online in order to maximise data capture and analysis opportunities, which in turn can be fed back into decision-making at key stages to optimise business performance.

Our MEERA Platform has been designed specifically to feed users with a steady stream of online data, accessed from multiple libraries, maps, projects, assets and individual contributors to make finding the information you need to make well informed decisions a whole lot easier.

Find us at the Future Working Zone where you can hear what we think about digital transformation from Jamie Cruise, Tom Dombrovsky and Thibault Uzu – every day at 1.30pm.

For more info, go to: www.petex.info or download the show programme.
